The running of this site appears to be above board. This isn't a nefarious company, in fact it has acquired a significant amount of success and there are many good experiences to be found on Ashley Madison, but most of these good experiences are going to be had by women.

Ashley Madison have on more than one occasion stated that there is an approximate 50/50 Male to Female ratio membership balance for ages 30-45, but the hack mentioned earlier revealed that there were 5,055,687 female members and 31,343,429 male members.

So they are not above telling a fib or two. This falls inline with the mean average male/female ratio that you will find on most dating apps.

The platform is solid and some user reviews on mobile stores suggest a great and fun experience from AM, but it does feel like the majority don’t stick around for too long. The lingering doubt of chatbots and costly messaging just leave too much of a sting.

The more ubiquitous dating apps, Tinder, Bumble etc are also miles ahead if you are looking for safety and security since they put you through a more rigorous sign up process and AM is trying to keep things anonymous, inadvertently creating a better hiding place for romance scammers.
